The 10th World Water Forum in Bali gathered over 30,000 global leaders and experts to address water security, disaster risk management, and sustainable water solutions.

The 10th World Water Forum will take place in Bali from May 18 to May 25, 2024 at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua and surrounding venues like the Bali International Convention Center (BICC). This major global event, under the theme “Water for Shared Prosperity,” will draw over 30,000 participants from 172 countries, including 33 heads of state, policymakers, water experts, and stakeholders.

The forum will include 290 sessions focused on critical issues such as water security, disaster risk management, sustainable water finance, and innovations in water governance. Discussions will follow three tracks: thematic, regional, and political, addressing global water challenges through cooperation across sectors and regions, including the Mediterranean, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Americas.

Notable attendees include Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Elon Musk, who will present on innovative technologies and initiatives, such as Starlink satellite-based internet service. The forum will also witness the groundbreaking ceremony for the International Mangrove Research Centre on Kura Kura Island, highlighting Indonesia’s commitment to global water and environmental sustainability.

The forum will culminate with the Ministerial Declaration, presenting new solutions and commitments to sustainable water management. High-level security measures, involving over 5,000 personnel, will ensure the safety of delegates throughout the event.
