Dugong Lounge & Bar offers a relaxed, shared dining experience through its innovative menu. Encouraging a more sociable way of dining, dishes are presented in smaller serving sizes and are placed in the middle of the table to share.
Aligned with Dugong restaurant’s food concept, local ingredients and the traditional flavours of Indonesia are the inspiration of the all-day menu. The cliffside location, paired with the spanning ocean view, provide an alluring setting to relax and watch Bali’s magical sunsets.
A delicious accompaniment to your chilled beverage of choice, may we recommend the Crispy Prawns with chilli sauce, Hamachi Ceviche and Tuna Tartare with avocado and mint to share. Excellent with a crisp white wine or signature cocktail, the chef’s Soy Tuna is nuanced with daikon, ginger flower and soy sauce.

We recommend some flavours to share, our signature meal, the Traditional Balinese Megibung, which is a unique and very traditional way of sharing food with friends and family during village festivals and ceremonies in East Bali and some parts of Lombok. This is an excellent way to sample the local cuisine and is decoratively served to you on a carved timber stand called the Dulang.

All of our staff, most who have been with us for many years, are from the local area around Candi Dasa (pronounced Chandi Dasa) and generally speak excellent English, so feel free to ask anything you want about Bali , it’s customs and rich culture during your stay and if that staff member cannot help you then they will try to find someone else that can.
Is direct above the beach spread over 1500 square meters and your table will have a spectacular view of the islands Nusa Penida and Lombok (on a clear day) and as much local Balinese life as you care to take part in – local fishermen still beach their boats in front of the resort and are proof of how fresh we get the “Catch of the Day” – every day!
Le-Zat Beach Restaurant has been created to be a representative of Balinese Culinary heritage -stretching back centuries, with its unique history of creating distinctive flavours from combinations of the hot and spicy uses of chilli peppers, shallots, ginger, garlic and the more mild ingredients of the coconut’s cream and crisp flesh with turmeric, ripe tomatoes and the cornucopia of unique Balinese fruits and vegetables such as the Manggis (mangisteen), Mangos and Jack fruit to name but a few. Couple all this with the finest and freshest of ingredients like locally sourced meat from controlled and certified butchers to freshly caught sea food and shrimp delivered daily by local fishermen and you have a recipe calling for added notches to the belt.
The sea breeze keeps it cool and the sound of surf brings that touch of Bali that you will remember along with the quality holiday time you spend with us. There are usually around 40 places near the bar and 60 to 80 seats in the restaurant and beach side so waiting is not a concern for either our resort guests or those that are just passing.

Global Village Kafe’ serves a delightful range of real Espresso coffee. We use our own unique ‘Global Village’ blend of Indonesian grown Arabica beans, hand-roasted on the premises by our own Expert Coffee Roaster Putu. The extensive drinks menu also includes Indian Chai, Herbal teas, Fruit lassies & Juices, Beers, Wines, Spirits, and Liqueurs. The menu is everything that you would expect from a ‘Global Village’, with popular and classic choices from Europe, Asia, South America, and Middle Eastern cuisines. The food is authentic in flavour and presentation, and comes complete with cuisine-appropriate side dishes, sauces and dips. Salads & various Vegetarian options are also always available.
The Kafé has a Gallery and retail handicraft section, where various wooden, brass, metal, coconut, beaded products and arte-facts from Bali are for sale at fixed prices. The profits from these sales are shared between the people and artists who make the products & the Foundation. Prices are reasonable and genuine, and you get authentic crafts.
The Global Village Foundation Kafé also stocks its own range of high quality 100% Natural Personal Healthcare products including Soaps, Shampoos, Shower Gels, & Body lotions.
Nestled in the corner of the Kafe is a book and DVD exchange, a popular service among resident ex-pats and travelers passing through Lovina.
