Bloo Lagoon is an alternative for those travelers who treasure contact with nature and wish to live in harmony with it. It is an ecosystem that attracts birds, butterflies, frogs, geckos, and plants. Occasionally we see monkeys and monitor lizards.

Located approximately one hour and a half from Ngurah Rai – Bali International Airport, Padangbai is a busy port where most people take the ferry to/from Lombok and onwards to the Gilis, Komodo Islands and Flores.

With its beautiful setting, small, unspoiled village feel, it must qualify as one of the most attractive port towns in the world. At the northern end of the town sits the 11th century Pura Silayukti Temple and just beyond it lies the Blue Lagoon, a small white sand beach great for snorkeling, diving and relaxing in the local warungs.

Welcome to Casa Mimba!

To own a house by the beach that we can call home has been a dream for us.

Casa Mimba is our first baby of our continuous dream to create our portfolio. An architecturally stunning villas with views of the sea and the green surrounding area that allows the lifestyle of the Balinese to continue within the confines of the villa. The villa features garden and outdoor swimming pool. Decorated in classic style, a blend of traditional and rustic elements combined seamlessly with modern comforts.

We are surrounded by nature and our villa is in open-living concept. From time to time we are visited by un-invited guests: wild birds, geckos, cats, spiders, frogs and all kinds of bugs . If these are not your favorites things, we understand that you will take these into consideration when making reservation.

Turn off your alarm. Wake up to the birds chirping, dogs barking in faraway neighbors’ house, roosters, and the sound of the waves. Forget the time! Soak in the abundant sun, walk along the beach or just sit around the shore, dip in the pool, and gaze into the million stars at night. Go out, explore the area, visit a temple or two and enjoy living in a Bali village….

We hope that you enjoy staying at Casa Mimba as much as we do!

Over the years, the Geko Dive Team learnt what makes a great dive operation. Clean gas with good fills (210bar or change your tank), top-notch equipment, great facilities, own custom-made dive boats, respect for standards in diving, working with the best local and foreign dive guides and instructors, adaptability to divers’ needs and desires or care for the environment are but prerequisites.

While this is a good beginning, it is not enough! What is essential to the Geko Dive Team is that divers arrive as customers and leave as friends; then return as friends before departing as family. After all, spending great times together, both underwater and at the surface, is what diving is all about. This is why so many of our guests just keep on coming back and some decide to stay for good… And Bali is a great place to do just that!

The Colonial quickly became one of the most iconic places to dine in Padangbai. Well known, thanks to the friendly staff, providing excellent service and a wide selection of both Western and Asian cuisine. You will be enchanted by the relaxed Bali atmosphere and exquisite tastes. You can enjoy your meal at our open-space restaurant or dip into our diving resort swimming pool open to all restaurant or resort guests to swim or relax with a refreshing drink in their hand.

If you wish to discover Balinese cuisine, we recommend you trying Rendang – the Indonesian beef stew. Meat lovers will be pleased by Fillet Beef steak or Barbeque Pork ribs. We also thought of vegans and vegetarians by providing them meat-free options of the vast majority of dishes and a wide selection of salads. For those longing for western food, we have burgers, burritos or quesadillas. Each dish is made from carefully selected fresh local ingredients ensuring the excellent quality, taste and nutritions.

Be it homemade ice cream or deserts such steamed chocolate brownie and tiramisu, we are ready to satisfy your sweet cravings with our selections of desserts. Our Chef Ketut has learned his craftmanship on cruise ships and has rich experience with preparing taste-pleasing meals for travelers from all over the world.

Our Resort Bar will impress you with an extensive drink menu including both local and foreign wines, summer cocktails and bottled or draught beer. We serve high quality imported liqueurs as well as traditional Balinese spirit called Arak. Moreover, we are the only place in Padangbai, and one of few in Bali, to serve Bintang beer on tap. For those that need to heat up a bit after diving in Bali, we have Irish coffee, teas or selection of gourmet Italian organic coffee.

Keeping in mind our eco-friendly values, we provide only reusable straws and do not serve any seafood due to our fish-friendly policy.
The onsite swimming pool is open to all restaurant guests to enjoy a swim or just relax with a refreshing drink in their hand. Trust us when we say that enjoying a glass of cold draught beer on a hot sunny day is definitely a must while on your Bali holiday.

The sea salt we use is farmed from the salt pans in Goa Lawah nearby, thus the name of the restaurant.
We bring you flavours that are both local and international, some inspired and others traditional, some simple and a few slightly more complicated, some meals for one and others to share, some spicy and a couple that are not too spicy. We recommend some flavours to share, our signature meal, the Traditional Balinese Megibung, which is a unique and very traditional way of sharing food with friends and family during village festivals and ceremonies in East Bali and some parts of Lombok. This is an excellent way to sample the local cuisine and is decoratively served to you on a carved timber stand called the Dulang.

Absolute Scuba Bali was established as a dive shop in 2005 by the dive buddies Rodney Grey and Willem van Dongen. Originally located in Sanur, we got the opportunity to relocate straight to the beach of the cozy fishermen village Padang Bai in 2006.

In that new setting we were able to build an integrated resort with a restaurant, bar and spa, to provide the whole well-being experience, that our guests expect on holiday in Bali. Our offer is completed by our dive school, including a big pool, diving classroom and our own dive boats.

For over a decade now, we give our best to satisfy travellers, looking for cozy and affordable accommodation, families who seek a relaxed time on the beach or want to explore Bali’s attractions, as well as divers who come explicitly to enjoy Bali’s beautiful underwater world.

Today, we employ more than forty locals and are considered a landmark in Padang Bai, East-Bali.
