Extend your 211A Visa? 

Kindly check our FAQ section below. It is important you are aware of all the steps and requirements to ensure a smooth extension process and to avoid delays and potential “overstay-penalties”, which cost IDR 1,000,000 per day.

B211A EXTENSION FAQ

You can apply with our service service anytime. But the actual extension we can only start to process 2 weeks before your visa runs out. 

The Service takes usually 5 business days.

Business hours are Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm (closed on Indonesian Public Holidays).

Indonesian Immigration office does not work during the weekends, and there could be delays due to unforeseen circumstances (changing of regulations, immigration online system slowing down, etc.). 

No, the extension process is now done online

Since now most Visas are processed online, there is no need to submit the passport anymore.

However, if you are failed to pass the automated gate at the airport and get the entry sticker inside your passport given by the officer upon arrival, you may need to submit your passport to start the extension process.

No. This is not necessary anymore

In rare cases the immigration officer might request a visit to the immigration office.

Visiting the Immigration Office:

You have to go to the appointed Immigration Office (either in Denpasar or Jimbaran) to take your picture and scan your fingerprint once your visa extension application has been approved by the Immigration Office.

Important dress code – Smart Casual:

Men: Collar / polo shirt (or decent and clean T-Shirt) and long pants, proper shoes.

Women: Dress, long pants, blouse, (or decent and clean T-Shirt)

No short, sleeveless shirts and tank tops, flip-flops, beach wear, yoga pants, ripped clothes.

If you have received your initial e-visa through our service us, then we do not need any further documentation other than your e-stay permit and your boarding pass/flight ticket.

Your passport should be still valid for 12 months.

Make sure that you have an active WhatsApp number.

If you have received the initial visa not through our service, we will get in touch with you to see what additional documents are required.

With the updated regulations your Visit Visa can be extended up to 2 times,  60 days each extension and your stay permit will be prolonged for another 60-days from the day your initial stay permit expires. Shorter days of extension is not available.

Maximum stay with for a visit visa is 180 days. After that, you must leave the country.

  • For single-entry visit visa: you need to re-apply for a new visa once you leave the country. New visa application can only be made around 48hours after you have left Indonesia.
  • For multiple-entry visit visa: you can re-enter Indonesia as long as your visa is still valid. If your multiple entry visit visa is not valid anymore and you need a new visa, the new multiple-entry visit visa can only be made around 48hours after you have left Indonesia.

Every day you are overstaying the immigration will charge a IDR 1,000,000 penalty fee.

Extension Prices and Service Options*

The immigration office charges an extra fee for extensions for passports from certain countries:

Angola, Bangladesh, China, Iran, Irak, Kenya, Libya, Niger, Pakistan, Senegal, Syria.

Surcharge is between IDR 400,000 and 1,500,000. If you have a passport of one of those countries, kindly get in touch with us visa@bali.com so we can inform you about the exact price and process.
