The show started with the high-spirited gamelan orchestra then continue with the dancing performances. The dancers are extraordinarily skilful, and amazingly in sync with eye and finger movements. The female dancers were sinuous, and fluid in motion, had delightfully colourful costumes and made great use of what is a fairly confined performance space. The male dancers were strong and dramatic; the warrior dance with keris (traditional dagger) is the highlight of the show.
