Technically Yes. Anybody with a passport from a “calling visa country” can ATTEMPT and apply.

However, Applicants for a “Calling-Visa”

  • need to first get authorization from authorities in Indonesia such as: Immigration Department, Police HQ Department, Intelligence Service Department (approval letter).

The total cost to obtain a Calling Visa can be anywhere between 3000 to 5,000 USD.

The reason for such a price tag is, that a traveler would need the assistance of an immigration agent / lawyer handling the auhorization process, which involves to deal with several departments within the Indonesian government. And, the agent has to appoint a guarantor in Indonesia, which takes on significant legal obligations in case something goes wrong. This guarantor would have to attend a face to face meeting in Jakarta with the immigration authorities as part of the approval process and will take legal and financial responsibility which needs to be taken into consideration.

Maximum stay is 60-days started on your arrival day (non-extendable).

Once the Visa has been granted and issued, you have 90 days to arrive in Indonesia. If you arrive later than 90 days after it has been issued, the visa will be void.
