We are situated approximately 1000m up on the south eastern slopes of Mount Batukaru. It is the highest dormant volcanic peak in the Bedugul area and with its peak at 2275m it is the second highest mountain in Bali. Batukaru is worshipped by the Balinese and is home to Pura Luhur Batukaru, on of the nine directional temples in Bali. The large crater, with an opening at the southern end, allows river Mawa to flow, hence its name “Batukaru”, which means “coconut shell” in Balinese.
Nestled on the south easterly slopes of Mount Batukaru, is our organic coffee estate & retreat center. Surrounded by protected jungle, our estate is the ideal place to escape from modern living, reconnect with nature and take in the breathtaking views of Bali and beyond. We extend our warm hospitality to you. Come and join us in this celebration of nature’s diversity.
