Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in Eastern Bali. Its name derived from the sacred river Ganges in Hinduism. The one-hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late King of Karangasem but was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby Mount Agung in 1963.
This water palace has several ponds with colourful koi fishes that tourists usually enjoy to feed and take pictures with. There is a swimming pool that allowed visitors to enjoy the refreshing cool water in this East Bali highland. You need to pay again to be able to swim here.
