Some of the nicest tubes on Bali’s west coast can be found in front of Echo Beach’s main promenade. Echo Beach’s left is at at the end of the road that leads to La Brisa Beach Club between Batu Bolong and the Sandbar. It is a challenging wave surfed by mostly intermediate and experienced surfers.
When it’s on, Echo Beach Left breaks over a small reef producing thick walls to rip turns and a lip to slap on a higher tide when it’s not barreling. Not for beginners. On a good day, surfers may catch a fast yet solid barrel. This wave is fun for natural and goofy footers.
During sunset, Echo Beach beach bars are full with people enjoying sunsets and Bintangs. Expect crowded beaches and litter in peak season.
