Selambung beach is a small cove just around the corner from Jungut Batu, a short stroll past the restaurants on the hill. There are steep steps down to the beach. Other access is by road over Panorama Point, past the high school (SMA) and the back streets where the bus stops at Lembongan Cliff Top Villas and walk or ride your scooter down past Song Lambung Beach Huts to the beach.
This beach has access to the Playground and Lacerations surfing area and is a great place to learn how to stand up paddle as the water is deep and quiet enough to stand up without being tossed about.
You can hire surfboards, paddleboards, snorkel and flippers down here for reasonable prices—some charter boat service from here.
Its a better location to leave from for surfing than Jugut Batu beach as you don’t have a long paddle or hire a boat to take you out to the reef surfing spots. It’s also quieter than Jugut Batu.
The people here also clean up the litter on the beach in the morning, unlike Jugut Batu, making for a more pleasant stay. There are also some small shops selling drinks and snacks. From here you can take a narrow path past the shop on the south which leads around to Tamarind beach.
