Stranded foreigners have 30days to update their visa

Translation of the Immigration Directives

  1. Holders of Free Visa (visa exemption) who have been granted emergency stay permit are required to leave Indonesia not exceeding 30 days, from 13 July 2020. Otherwise, you will be imposed on the Immigration Administrative Sanctions.
  2. Holders of Visa on Arrival (VoA – B213) who have been granted emergency stay permit now you can extend your Visa on Arrival from 13 July 2020, within 30 days of the grace period. If you do not comply with the provisions, you will be imposed on the Immigration Administrative Sanctions.
  3. Holders of Visitor Stay Permit (ITK – Code 2B21, 2B11, D212) who have been granted an emergency stay permit can now extend your substantive permits unless the Covid-19 pandemic is declared over and there are transports available leaving Indonesia. You can extend your functional permits from 13 July 2020, within 30 days of grace period. You can also change your permissions from Visitor Permits to Stay Permits. If you do not comply with the provisions, you will be imposed on the Immigration Administrative Sanctions.
  4. Holders of valid Limited Stay Visa (ITAS) and Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP) currently residing in Indonesia territory can now apply to extend your Stay Permits at immigration offices or contact your visa agent.
  5. Holders of expired ITAS, ITAP & Multiple Exit Re-Permit (MREP) who have been granted a required letter from relevant agencies/boards and currently staying overseas. Also, those who apply for the family reunion ITAS/ITAP, shall return to Indonesia and immediately extend your Stay Permits at local immigration offices from 13 July 2020, within 60 days of the grace period. If you do not extend your visa during the grace period, you shall apply for a new visa accordingly.
  6. Holders of ITAS & ITAP who have been granted an emergency stay permit can now extend your substantive permits. You can also change your permissions from Temporary Stay Permits to Permanent Stay Permits. If your Temporary Stay Permit cannot be extended (No further extensions), you shall leave Indonesia from 13 July 2020 and not exceed 30 days of the grace period. If you do not comply with the provisions, you will be imposed on the Immigration Administrative Sanctions.
  7. Holders of ITK & ITAS who have been granted a new visa telex can now apply for your new ITK or ITAS at local immigration offices. You do not require to apply for an Indonesian visa at the Indonesian Embassy or Consulates overseas. You will receive a new ITK or ITAS after you make a payment for your new visa at local immigration offices. Your payment receipt is your visa grant.
