This event is the perfect choice for families and cultural enthusiasts alike, offering an engaging blend of entertainment and traditional Balinese cuisine. Each month, Shotgun Social Sanur features a different storyline from Bali’s rich cultural heritage:
- Calonarang: Dive into the legendary tale of Calonarang, a story that encapsulates both beauty and terror. This powerful narrative of a feared sorceress is a highlight for those seeking a true Balinese cultural experience.
- Barong & Rangda Dance: Witness the eternal battle between good and evil in the iconic Barong & Rangda dance. This must-see performance is a staple in any visit to a restaurant with a Balinese local experience.
- Sanghyang Ritual: Experience the spiritual essence of Bali with the sacred Sanghyang ritual, a trance dance believed to channel divine protection and blessings. This ritual includes the famous Kecak performance, where a chorus of chanting men surrounds the dancers, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Several Sanghyang dances are performed during this ritual, each with its unique significance, believed to invite the spirits and deities to descend and protect the community.
