Several of Bali’s most avid surfers frequent Dreamland. It is in a convenient location between two additional tourist hotspots, Balangan and Bingin. You can reach Dreamland from the airport in about 40 minutes. While the waves are small, novice surfers may give them a go, but as they start to become big, only experts should attempt to ride them. The waves are mellow left and right shelf breaks. The south-southwest swell waves are the finest, and they’re at their best around low tides.
There are a few places to stay and eat in the area. Consider staying in a surf camp in the Bingin or Balangan areas if you’d want to save money on your lodging. The months of April through October are best for surfing, but you should be prepared for a more eclectic crowd to show up around the holidays and dry season.
