Melanting Waterfall is also known as Air Terjun Laangan. Trekking with a local guide is recommended as the trek to get into the falls is very far. Melanting is the highest compared to two waterfalls nearby. The walk is through heavy vegetation which included coffee, nutmeg, vanilla, clove and cacao plantations. There is no doubt it is cooler in the mountains, but it is still hot, humid and exhausting climbing up and down all the steep steps.

A few small stalls are selling bottled water along the way. Wear decent shoes, during rainy days, can be muddy and damp moss on paths made them slippery. IDR 10.000 entry for each waterfall is required.
