Our Mission: Inspire the local government to incorporate the “Zero Waste to Ocean” waste management process so that waste is recycled or upcycled on-site. Grow children and local communities into ‘Zero Waste’ believers and doers. Promote sustainable jobs and businesses that do not harm our natural resources, such as organic cotton and natural dye weaving, permaculture farming, and soap recycling.

To improve the education, well-being, and self-reliance of people living in underprivileged circumstances while ensuring environmental resilience and sustainability.

Key Objectives & Mission

ROLE seeks to help unskilled disadvantaged women by providing accessible basic education and vocational training. ROLE works to increase the employment opportunities available to women from poor communities by providing access to education, vocational training, and job placement, as well as assistance in starting up eco-friendly micro businesses. ROLE Foundation also seeks to revitalize coastal environments through sustainability education and environmental assistance projects.

Our Programs

ROLE Foundation has built its first “Island Sustainability Center” (ISC) on 1.5 hectares (6 acres) of land at Sawangan, Nusa Dua, The Bukit, Bali Island. Activities at ISC include:

Active model of waste collection, composting, gardening, food production, reforestation, energy, and water harvesting.

Education facility for island and coastal communities in sustainable practices.

An exchange of skills, help, and ideas from people, groups, and institutions from overseas who want to assist the Balinese and Indonesian people.

Off-campus environmental project management base. ISC currently manages or partners in 6 environmental assistance projects.

As a 100% non-profit NGO, R.O.L.E. Foundation relies on generosity from everyone. Volunteers provide their time, great people raise funds for us, and you can decide to donate any amount that suits your budget. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated!

The Island Sustainability Education Center provides businesses with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully. We offer a comprehensive and tiered corporate donation program with transparency and structure, while allowing flexibility to tailor it to your business needs. We prefer to work holistically with our corporate donors, welcoming opportunities such as providing your employees with volunteer opportunities or running joint events for our combined stakeholders.
