The Sandbar Surf Break is located a bit north of Echo beach and is next to Rivermouth. Sandbar breaks left and right and can be in its peak great for advanced surfers. The inside reef creates fun long rides, and the lefts tend to be a bit longer than the rights. It’s a hollow, powerful, and wedgy peak that bodyboarders love to ride when the waves are big. Be careful of its strong currents. The best time to visit is between April and October. Expect a large crowd of people during holidays or anytime on the weekend.
It’s suitable for advanced and expert surfers and is definitely one of the great waves in Bali.
