What are the Visa Requirements for Thai Citizens?
Enter into Indonesia / Bali with a Thai Passport
- Free Visa/ Visa Exemption (30 days) – NOT EXTENDABLE
Good news for Thai passport holders! Indonesia has recently brought-back visa-free access for citizens of Thailand, allowing them to travel to the country without the need for a visa. This new policy is expected to boost tourism and business activities between the two countries. As of now, Thai passport holders are allowed to enter Indonesia for a period of up to 30 days without a visa. This means that they can enter the country for tourism, without having to go through the hassle of obtaining a visa beforehand. However, it’s important to note that this visa-free entry is not extendable, so travelers must plan their trip accordingly to avoid overstaying.
- Visa on Arrival (30 days), EXTENDABLE for another 30 days
Thau passport holders have another option for visiting Indonesia as they can now apply for a visa on arrival, making travel to the country even more accessible. The visa on arrival (VOA) scheme grants Thai passport holders a 30-day stay in Indonesia, which is extendable for another 30 days, providing ample time to explore the country’s stunning landscapes and cultural heritage.
- B211A Visa (Valid for 60 days), EXTENDABLE twice, with 60 days per extension, in total 180 days stay in Indonesia
In addition to the visa-free entry and visa on arrival options, Thai passport holders also have the option of applying for a B211A visa to travel to Indonesia. This type of visa is a Single Entry Visa and is valid for 60 days, with the option to extend twice for 60 days each time, providing a total of 180 days stay in Indonesia.
