As the number of daily cases of Covid-19 is still high, the central government decided to continue Partial Lockdown, so-called PPKM Level 4 in Java and Bali, for another week. However, in a separate circular letter No. 14 the Year 2021, the governor of Bali decided to implement this regulation until further notice. It is the fourth time this same has been extended, and hopefully, it will be the last time. 

Though Bali is still categorised as a region with Level-4 criteria for lockdown with the same measures implemented from the latest regulation, there are a few adjustments made during this newest extension of PPKM:

1. Particular tenants (groceries, pharmacies, ATMs and restaurants) in Malls are allowed to open with maximum capacity restrictions. Other vendors like fashion and non-essential stores are advised to continue operating through online platforms. 
2. Industrial companies in export sectors may operate normally by allowing 100% of workers to come back to the office with a minimum of two working-shifts arrangements on 17 August 2021.
3. Worship places (mosques, churches and temples) can be opened again with a maximum of 25% from the total capacity.

There was also inaccurate information explaining that domestic travellers are only required to show a negative result of the Antigen test to fly to Bali if the travellers have been fully vaccinated; this information is incorrect. The governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, has firmly explained that all domestic travellers to Bali are required to show valid negative results of PCR test regardless of their vaccination status. The international travel restriction is still in place until further notice.

Latest Covid-19 statistics per Wednesday (11/8), 1270 new infections in Bali, made total cases 89.898. Recent recoveries at 1148, in total 74.523 with 27 recent deaths were reported, in total 2544. While in Indonesia, there were 30.625 new cases, pushing down the total infections to 3.749.446 with 112.198 total deaths and 3.211.078 recoveries.

Bali has successfully vaccinated 3,097,817 people with the first dosage, and 1,185,544 are fully immunised by Wednesday, 11 August 2021. It has already surpassed the target, which was only 2,996,060 or by 103.40%. Bali is known as one of the regions in Indonesia with many domestic and international migrants worldwide; therefore, the target numbers continue to increase day by day.
