Chinese New Year Celebrations at Shotgun Social

Shotgun Social truly elevated this year’s Chinese New Year festivities, leaving attendees with unforgettable memories! Throughout 11 February 2024, the venue added an extra dash of excitement to the celebrations with their special Chinese New Year menu.

Guests indulged in a family-style feast designed for 4 people, featuring tantalizing dishes such as whole roasted Peking duck, golden dumplings, Chang sou kwetiaw noodles, sautéed kailan, bok choy with garlic, mixed acar, steamed rice, fried peanuts, dipping sauces, fruit platters, and their choice of welcome drink, cocktail, or mocktail.

 

Attendees savored the delectable à la carte offerings, including starters like Zen Bao Duck, Zen Bao Pork, Chang Sou Kwetiaw Noodles, and Gong Xi Fa Chai Dumplings. Mouthwatering mains included XO Fried Rice with roasted pork belly or duck, and Jin Ji Golden Glazed Duck. The feast concluded on a sweet note with their matcha crème brûlée.

At Shotgun Social, it wasn’t just about the food; it was about the experience! Guests immersed themselves in the festive spirit with captivating lion and dragon dances performed by children and teenagers. Vibrant displays of the lion dance filled the venue, with kids eagerly watching, petting, and offering “angpao” to the dancing lions.

The pop-up market featured an array of local brands offering everything from organic soaps and silver accessories to clay workshops and clothing.
