Travel Restriction is Lifted! Borders are now open again for travelers with Visa! Get your B-211A Visa online

Finally, the wait is over! After months of international travel restrictions starting 23 July 2021, holders of valid B-211A visas can enter the country now. The regulation has been updated per today, Thursday, 16 September 2021.
Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly issued the latest immigration policy, so-called the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation (Permenkumham) Number 34 of 2021, concerning the Granting of Immigration Visas and Residence Permits in the Period of Handling the Spread of CoronaVirus Disease 2019 and National Economic Recovery on Wednesday (15/9). With the new regulations, the restrictions for foreigners to enter Indonesia based on the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 27 of 2021 are finally officially lifted.
Entry permits are now granted for foreigners holding valid official residence permits, diplomatic residence permits, KITAS, KITAP, APEC Business Travel Card (KPP) holders, B211A Business Visa, crews of transportation, and Traditional Border Crossers.
Offshore visa services which were previously temporarily suspended are now available again. However, applicants must be fully vaccinated to be able to apply for the visa and signify if they are willing to:
- Follow all the monitoring processes during the quarantine or isolation period following health protocol and the provisions of Indonesia Government laws and regulations.
- Undergo quarantine for 8 (eight) days in Jakarta (there’s a chance for the quarantine session will be able to be done in Bali, but this is not official yet. We will provide another update if the Bali Quarantine Program is started in Bali).
- Pay all the expenses if the result of the PCR examination by Indonesia Healthy Center indicates positive Covid 19.

Permenkumham Number 34 of 2021 also prohibits certain people from specific countries with a high-level spread of Covid-19 to enter Indonesia. However, a list of countries that are still unable to apply for the visa has not yet been released by the authorities. We will keep you updated on this matter soon.
Per 15 September 2021, vaccination coverage in Indonesia has reached around 116 million doses, with details of approximately 73 million first dosages and 43 million are fully vaccinated. This achievement places Indonesia in the sixth position globally in terms of the number of people who have been fully and partially vaccinated, behind China, India, America, Brazil, and Japan.
If you have been granted your e-Visa B211A and it is still valid, this is your time to enter the country immediately, otherwise if your e-Visa is expired you will need to apply for the new one. Other required documents you need to prepare before taking your flight are:
- Full vaccination card
- Negative result of PCR test, taken 48 hours before the flight (the latest)
- You will also need to download and sign up on a local app once arrived in the airport, please follow the instruction of the airport authority accordingly
