- The tourist tax (levy) is a local tax that the Bali administration is going to implement, it is only related to Bali and not to Indonesia

Bali will provide also payment options at the arrival points (airports, harbours) for the travelers who did not pay online - If you arrive in Bali and paid the tax already once, but then go to another province (another island such as Lombok, the Gilis) and return back to Bali, you would have to pay the tax again ,unfortunately
- It is unclear how they will handle transiting visitors, who use the domestic airport to transit to an international flight without actually “visiting” Bali
- The local government stated it wants to use the money for trash management and improving infrastructure, protect cultural heritage
- It is stated that travelers with certain Visas and KITAS will not be subject to the tax and can apply for an exception online lovebali.baliprov.go.id/
